I actually felt a little seller remorse watching them roll away.

But the storage unit still has some goodies laying in wait and I’m picking up a Raptor 660 after work. WOO!

There won’t be a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! tonight!

Wow, I remember when those 660 Raptors showed up, Waynoka was completely overrun with them. Banshees nearly went extinct overnight.

That 200X, oh what I would do for a nice one to go with my 450R.

Funny thing is that everyone that dumped their Banshees then wants them back now!

The 660 is an awesome machine but they have their faults. Like the one I’m supposed to go get the 2nd gear dog snaps and kills the oil pump. But that’s a good excuse to go for a 719 big bore kit!

They’re out there. Prices have nearly doubled over the last year though.

I love the 200x but we’ll see what happens to that love when I get my 350x put together.

Yep, such cool quads. I love the madness of the 2-stroke. God I need to get the LT250R put back together. The 700 made the 660 seem obsolete too, probably pretty reasonably priced for the performance.

The pickings are slim up here in northern MN though. At least on craigslist. And I have sworn to no more toys till my student loans are paid off.

I haven’t shopped MN much. Most of my finds have been in Wisconsin and Iowa. Really nice ones are in Cali but I can’t justify the shipping costs. I usually only make about $300-$500 on a flip shipping would destroy that.

Damn responsibilities..

I just rechecked and there are a few down around in Wisconsin and in the Twin Cities area but I can’t justify 900-1500 on one right now. Plus if I did decide to buy one, then I’d tear it apart and I’d have two toys torn apart in my garage.

I’m really glad I got mine when I did. I absolutely stole it, plus I got a bunch of high performance 250r parts with it that I sold for what I paid for everything. I’ve spent a bit more on it, but I basically ended up with a decent 200x (with extended swinger and wide axle) plus nearly enough parts to build a second one for free!

It’s crazy watching 3 wheeler prices in general. I don’t know why they’ve jumped up all of a sudden, but damn are they getting expensive. A few years back you could hardly give away a hardtail, now even a crappy 185s/200s/110/90 seems to be priced at $500+.

I’ve ridden a 350x once, it’s what solidified my love for three wheelers. I settled on the 200x because it was such a good deal, but I’m always on the hunt for a 350x (or a Tri-Z).

The market just blew up recently too. I used to be able to grab a decent 250sx for $600. Now? $900 minimum. There’s an 83 200x for $1300? I can’t believe where the hardtails are. Yikes! I won’t go over $800 on anything unless it’s a 250R or 1987 200X. If I do that though they’re keepers.

I’m still kicking myself for letting the Tri Z go. that thing was insane.

Yeah, a buddy of mine flipped a 200x for $1200 5-6 months ago, it was in really good shape and his price was reasonable. If he would have held on to it for a few more months, he probably could have asked a few hundred more.

I paid $400 for mine, immediately sold a few parts to my buddy (who gave me the lead and was there with me) for $50, and sold the 250r parts (HotRods crank, and stroker crank, flat slide carb) for the remainder.
